Data handling develops the following skills in the learner: The ability to collect, organize, present, analyze, and interpret given data.
The focus in the teaching and learning of data handling in the foundation phase is on sorting objects and data in different ways, based on the characteristics of the objects or data.
Learners are expected to be able to draw picture graphs and column graphs, and to interpret them, by one-to-one correspondence of the given data.
