- Recognizes consonant digraphs (e.g., sh, th, wh, ch).
- Distinguishes between long and short vowel sounds.
- Recognizes silent “e” in words.
- Reading Comprehension: Chooses a short reading passage with 60-70 words.
- With support, writes a simple set of instructions (e.g., 3-4 instructions).
- Punctuation (capital letters and full stops).
- Tenses: Understands and uses the present progressive tense (e.g., ‘We are planting a seed.’).
- Nouns: Writes meaningful sentences using countable and uncountable nouns.
