Grade R Assessment Term 2
According to the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) for Grade R, assessment should be developmental, informal, and observational. This means that learners’ progress is primarily measured through daily observation and participation in activities rather than formal tests. Teachers use structured tools such as rubrics and checklists to systematically document learners’ progress.
